These properties were either donated to the Trust or purchased by the Trust. The Trust is not generally in a position to purchase land but occasionally will do so by mounting a campaign to preserve land of special value.
All these properties are important from the standpoint of natural history and to ensure the preservation of our natural resources and the rural character of our region. The Trust works with volunteer land stewards and easement monitors to safeguard and conserve these properties. Trails are for hikers only. No motorized vehicles are allowed.
When hiking preserves that are open to the public, please take care to respect the land: take only pictures, leave only footprints.
All trails are clearly marked with blazes you can read about here: Finding your way on Joshua's Trust trails.
